Connectivity
A built-in 10/100 BaseT Ethernet allows you to connect the 1401 to a network at startup with little effort.

Solid State Drive
The IDE hard drive on all 1401 systems can be replaced with a CompactFlash® drive (64 MB or 128 MB) for applications that do not permit the use of rotating media. The hard drive may also be changed to a 2 GB
solid state hard drive.

Windows® CE-based Operating System
All Windows CE-based 1401 systems are shipped preloaded with Windows CE 4.2.
