The 5015SLR delivers superb display quality up to 1024 x 768 (XGA)
resolution with a color depth of 16 million colors while being able to
be used in very high ambient light conditions. The 1200 Nit LCD display coupled with a resistive touchscreen containing integrated films that attenuate UV light and allows transmission of visible light make the 5015SLR ideal for many applications either indoors or outdoors which require usability in direct sunlight.

FEATURES

Analog Resistive Touchscreen

Many available sunlight readable flat panel monitors utilized capacitive or Near Field Imaging (NFI) touchscreens to provide adequate clarity and UV protection. Coupled with these types of touchscreens are issues with the lack of being able to use a gloved hand or inoperability when water is pooled on the unit. Xycom has chosen an analog resistive touchscreen that
eliminates these issues completely. Integrated with this touchscreen is a very durable thin layer of glass on the external surface that protects the touchscreen from excessive wear when utilized in harsh environments.

The touchscreen also incorporates UV protective layers that protect the LCD from the harmful rays of the sun, much like sun block with a high SPF factor for your skin. This makes the 5015SLR ideal for many applications, such as an oil platform, shipboard, or outside informational Kiosks.

High Standards

The 5015SLR meets all the environmental
standards expected of a Xycom Heavy-Duty industrial product. It can be used in an operating temperature range of 0°C to 50°C and is documented and tested to be NEMA 4/4X/12 compliant. The 5015SLR is standard with UL, cUL, and CE compliance and is also approved for use in Class I Division 2 or Class II Division 2 hazardous locations without the need for purging. Simply mount the 5015SLR in a NEMA sealed enclosure and it can be utilized in applications requiring hazardous locations approvals.

The 5015SLR can be operated using a DVI or analog VGA video connection and allows for the use of either USB or Serial RS-232 for the touchscreen interface. The unit ships with 10 foot USB and Serial touchscreen cables (only one can be used at a time). It also ships with a 10 foot VGA video cable; DVI cables up to 10 foot are available as an optional item. Cables up to 50 foot are available for RS-232 and VGA.

Cutout Compatibility

The 5015SLR mounts in the standard 5015T/R2 cutout allowing the choice of sunlight readable or not in an application without altering the enclosure. Both units mount easily in the same cutout using the included mounting clips.
