Connectivity
A built-in 10/100 BaseT Ethernet allows you to connect the 1401 to a network at startup with little effort.

Solid State Drive
The IDE hard drive on all 1401 systems can be replaced with a CompactFlash drive (128 MB or 256 MB) for applications that do not permit the use of rotating media. The hard drive may also be changed to a 3 GB
solid state hard drive.

Windows® NT, or Windows® 2000
All 1401 systems may be ordered with Windows® NT or Windows® 2000. Unless otherwise specified, all 1401s are shipped preloaded with MS-DOS.
