Xycom Automation Wins "Control Engineering Editors' Choice" Award for Cutout Compatibility

Xycom Automation, Inc., a subsidiary of Pro-face America, Inc. and a market leader in Industrial PCs, won a Control Engineering 2004 Editors' Choice Award for its 3712KPM Industrial PC cutout compatibility. Control Engineering, a Chicago-based trade publication, gives only forty such awards to makers of the hundreds of products covered in the publication each year.
Selected products win the award based on technological achievement, service to the industry, and market impact. Xycom Automation's 3712KPM flat-panel industrial computers provide cutout compatibility with devices in service during the past 20 years. The 3712KPM cutout is compatible other Xycom units, as well as vendors such as Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley and Schneider Electric's Square D.
The award was presented to Mary Ramsey, Xycom Automation's VP of Sales & Marketing, Margaret Murdock, Director of Engineering, and Ralph Damato, Business Unit Manager of Industrial PC Products, at the Control Engineering awards dinner on March 16, in Chicago.
The 2004 award winners were selected from among all of the new products featured in 2004 issues of Control Engineering, Control Engineering International, and Control Engineering Online. Each month, editors of the magazine review hundreds of new product releases, and only the best are selected for publication. From that pool of new products the Editors' Choice Awards are chosen. (There were over 6000 products that were actually reviewed and winnowed down to the final 40.)
