Saline, MI – April 17, 2008 - Pro-face America, the North American division of Digital Electronics, announces the release of a new LT3000 series all-in-one graphical touch screen controller. The LT3000 family slashes OEM machine costs by combining an Operator Interface, programmable logic control, encoder input, bar code reader port plus direct interface to drives and inverters in an all-in-one compact panel mounted unit.

Cut installation costs and reduce component count by eliminating the PLC, PLC software, unnecessary mechanical switches, special I/O cards, and cabling increasing machine flexibility. By combining the functionality of separate components, a machine is simplified and therefore less prone to failure. By using an all-in-one operator interface plus control, installation time is cut in half allowing machine builders and system integrators to build/ship more machines.

Productivity reporting is accomplished on the LT3300 by combining with Pro-Server EX™ remote data collection and management software. This combination provides integration to existing enterprise systems via common communication methods OPC, DDE, DLL, ODBC, Access™ and E-mail over Ethernet. In plant or across the globe, eliminate unnecessary “clipboard” collection of data. LT3000 users can improve operations with flexible reporting templates for Microsoft™ Excel®, recipe administration, data transfer and alarm management.
This combination also provides enhanced troubleshooting capability for OEM’s allowing remote monitoring of machine operations limiting travel time and expenses.

Free Development Software and download cable are available in a “first time buyer” kit, allowing OEMs to get the most from their controls budget. These kits are available for the 3.8” LT3201 as well as the 5.7” LT3300/01 series and provide everything needed to simplify your controls system.

Product highlights of the LT3000 series include full graphical touch screen interface plus control with built-in I/O and expansion I/O options. Built-in I/O are configurable for pulse output, PWM and encoder inputs (high speed counters). The LT3000 includes a full set logic control functions that are IEC61131-3 compliant. Thirteen different discrete and analog (including thermocouple and RTD, Pt100) expansion modules allow the control system to adapt with the machine. One software package, GP-Pro EX, for both screen development and logic programming simplifies development and lowers the time required to ship each machine.
