What's driving your Industrial computer costs?

Did you know that the majority of Industrial PC costs occur after the sale?  The subtle costs of maintenance greatly impacts the total cost of ownership of an industrial PC.

What are these typical cost drivers?

Product Revisions - when your supplier modifies the product you have approved for your application, what is the associated cost transfer to you to re-evaluate?

Product Availability - life expectancy for an industrial PC can be 2-4 years.  Discontinuation of a product restarts the product evaluation and certification cycle which adds cost.  What if the availability was increased to 7 years?

Product Migration - Maintaining panel cutout compatibility significantly impacts serviceability in the field.  If your supplier does not maintain drop-in replacement products from generation to generation the cost to maintain a site or machine skyrockets.

Repair/Serviceability - Does your supplier provide fast repair service (a few days) or are you recommended to buy a spare unit due to slow response repair facilities? Buying a spare unit to place on a shelf impacts your true in-service warranty period.

You can summarize the four key cost drivers above as Investment Protection.   They are essential to keeping your total cost of ownership low.   Compare investments to see your after-the-sale costs with typical IPC suppliers.
