Saline, MI: Xycom Automation, is pleased to announce the launch of a new line of dedicated multi-media and control operator interface touch screens. Pro-face, the most recognized and trusted name in Operator Interfaces worldwide releases 30 new models of the AGP3000 series family of HMI products. Included in this release is second generation GP-Pro EX HMI development software.
AGP3000 Series Hardware Displays
AGP3000 series hardware includes screen sizes ranging from 6" to the visually stunning 15" models in monochrome, STN and 65K color TFT type display offering. Compared to competitive brands, the AGP3000 series products are several times faster providing instant touch response, fast screen refresh and high speed data sampling.
Significant advances in high resolution, no-grid analog resistive touch screen technology, enhanced screen viewing angle, and high-end display quality make the AGP3000 stand out as today's standard for brighter, crisper, clearer operator interfaces.
The AGP3000 family of products includes multi-port models supporting simultaneous protocol, multi-media with direct video and sound and HMI with control via the built-in plc logic. This is the first product line that is ROHS compliant, meeting the new mandatory lead-free directive from Europe, a critical necessity for OEMs shipping overseas. Standard UL, cUL class I DIV II, CE certifications are included with these units.
A host of interfaces include USB, RS232, RS422, RS485, Siemens direct MPI serial interfaces, compact flash port and 10/100 Ethernet are standard on most units. The USB host port allows easy connection to barcode readers, printers, and a wide range of peripheral devices. Up to four different network protocols can be active at any one time for multi-vendor controller applications. This simultaneous protocol feature allows the AGP3000 to act as a protocol converter, data concentrator and gateway for sharing data seamlessly with different PLC manufacturers, motion controllers, servos, etc.
GP-Pro EX HMI Development(second generation)
GP-Pro EX is a full-featured intuitive screen editor supporting all 50 models of the AGP3000 family. Built on a powerful, very friendly development environment, GP-Pro EX includes an extensive set of time saving features to significantly lower the cost of HMI development. Time-saving features include HMI template creation for creating consistent looking displays, drag and drop visual plc address object mapping that quickly maps a PLC or other device register addresses to the touch screen images and self-documenting HMI application wizard saving engineering documentation time. HMI designers can also create standardized headers and footers that can quickly be loaded on each screen to create a consistent look and feel ideal for OEM applications.
Multi-level security feature is built-in to limit or provide different user level screen access. Multi-language support is standard allowing and any language to be selected during runtime or displaying multiple languages on a single screen. The online manual and automatic software updates over the internet make staying current with latest available features effortless.
These features offer huge advantages for both the OEM developer and the end-user for creating impressive displays in a development environment that maximizes design efficiency.
Pro-Server EX HMI Data Management Software
Pro-Server EX data management connectivity server software is a low cost solution to share and collect productivity, quality and maintenance data from each AGP3000 unit over an Ethernet network. The data can be monitored, logged, and shared within a Windows®-based environment allowing fast and simple monitoring of factory floor conditions. Direct integration into MRP systems such as Access, SQL server, Excel, CSV is simple through the many data formats supported in Pro-Server EX.
Pro-Server EX allows factory floor device status to be monitored on any office computer, recipes to be uploaded or downloaded and production quality reports to be generated automatically. For maintenance personal, fault conditions, alerts, preventative maintenance notices can be sent automatically via email upon event or threshold levels reached.
With Pro-Server EX many times it is not necessary to purchase high end data acquisition packages. Getting the HMI data into the Windows environment in the right format is what Pro-Server EX offers at a fraction of the price of other packages.
