High Reliability, Integrated Factory Alert System and Open HMI
solutions expanded with Pro-face America PS3000 industrial computers

Pro-face America, a global leader in human-machine interfaces (HMIs) solutions and industrial computing products, today introduced its WinGP HMI software application for industrial PCs along with its new PS3000 Series of best-in-class industrial PCs (IPCs.) These solutions deliver effective visualization as well as enhanced predictive notifications of your PC health. This capability enhances reliability of machines and/or factory process control systems. WinGP is an easy-to-use software application that enables operator interface functionality on Pro-face brand IPCs.
The new PS3000 industrial PCs include 24V DC-powered models and node PCs that deliver distributed data management systems for factory floor applications. They are designed for an easy to use visualization terminal in Factory Machines. A differentiating feature is the integrated Factory Alert System (RAS -- Reliability, Availability, Serviceability), a feature that monitors key PC component status and generates instant notification when excessive heat exposure, impending hard drive or fan failure, or CPU power trouble for predictive maintenance. Increased System Reliability avoids traditional hard drive failures by using Solid State Disk (SSD) options to reduce down-time in factory machines. Open HMI solutions is expanded with our WinGP software that allows PS3000 products running MS Windows operating system to operate as a dedicated operator interface. The PS3000 Series industrial PCs are UL Certified and CE Marked. This product line includes an extensive range of industrial PCs, from 8.4 up to 15 inches as well as node PC models.

Open HMI WinGP provides on-demand operator interface functionality
The WinGP is a runtime application that takes advantage of Pro-face multi-platform HMI development software GP-Pro EX. This software allows users to develop HMI applications for both a dedicated operator interface and an industrial PC, saving time and money by seamlessly re-using the HMI application. More than 200 drivers are included to support PLCs, barcode readers, and RTUs with an advance library of graphic symbols and logic editor to develop machine based control functions. The WinGP runtime includes a communication API for third-party Microsoft Windows based applications, including Visual Basic, Visual C#, Visual C++, and C# for information sharing.
Maximized Uptime and Reliability with Integrated Factory Alert System
The new PS3000’s integrated Factory Alert Health Monitoring system takes advantage of Pro-face’s unique Reliability Availability Serviceability (RAS) technology and provides early warning fault detection. RAS monitors PC operation and performance such as voltage, fan speed, internal temperature, touch panels, backlight, and hard drive failures. Instant notifications are generated via sight, sound, on-screen, and remotely, or can be digitally output from PS3000 RAS port to a PLC so it can automatically switch to safe operations mode.

The new PS3000 Series of industrial PCs is part of a global family of Pro-face brand standard and high performance IPC products. The Pro-face brand provides the lowest cost of total ownership with 20+years of cutout compatibility. The PS3000 series is a standard performance visualization interface industrial PC as a compliment product to the company’s higher performance APL3000 core duo series that targets mission critical data intensive industrial applications.
The PS3000 series include touch screen sizes ranging from 8.4-inch to 15-inch plus node PC models. From Celeron M to Pentium M processor, Hard Disk Drive or Solid State Drive, AC or DC models, the wide range of selections allow you to find best-in-class Industrial PCs for your machines or factory process systems.
The PS3000 Series offers AC 100-240V and DC 24V models. DC 24V industrial PCs offer a higher level of safety using less hazardous voltages when mounted within the cabinet enclosure. DC powered units tend to experience longer machine life as they are not directly connected to the low quality high transient AC power line, and allows machine builder to share related DC powered devices (Controllers, Sensors, valve, measurement devices, and UPS systems) to maximize their machine value.
The PS3000 Series offers Solid State Drive and standard Hard Disk Drive options, including maintenance-free, 8 GB bootable, compact flash or standard 40 or 60 GB hard drive, 1 expandable PCI slot for plug and play functionality, and two independent Ethernet ports. The PS3000 is CE approved and UL certified.
Additional Data Connectivity software offer
Pro-Server EX is an easy-to-use, enterprise data management software for data collection and process monitoring with Pro-face dedicated operator interfaces and industrial PCs including the PS3000 Series. Pro-Server EX adds to the functionality of the WinGP runtime and includes a wide range of data connectivity options to link the PS3000 Series to virtually any system via MES, DDE, DLL, Active X, and OPC Server.
